This year's theme was Border
Borders define our daily existence; they are created by nature and created by man. Borders control our movements and act as guidelines for everyday life. There are at least two sides to every border. They can be concealed; they can be visible or just exist in our minds. westPHOTO in collaboration with Aalto University, Helsinki and Lette Verein, Berlin invites you to submit your images on the theme of Border. Finalists will be selected by a panel of judges (see below) to exhibit in London, Helsinki and Berlin. Prizes will be awarded in
two categories - Single Image and Project Work.

Press Release:
This year’s University of Westminster westPHOTO Photography Prize – which has ‘Border’ as its theme - promises to be the biggest so far. As well as Westminster photography students, the competition – now in its fourth year - will also be open to those studying photography at the prestigious Aalto School of Art and Design in Helsinki, Finland as well as the Lette Verein Berlin, Germany.
This collaboration will result in an exhibition in Helsinki, Berlin as well as London, providing great exposure for the shortlisted images - once again judged by prominent judges from the world of photography.
Closing date for entries is in October and the London exhibition will take place at the University of Westminster’s Ambika P3 Gallery. We are looking forward to a celebration of contemporary photography.
As always the competition is open to current as well as alumni students. For the first time this year single images as well as a series of images (projects) can be entered.
